About Freddie

Freddie is a writer, director, and sometimes stage manager who trained at the Victorian College of the Arts in the Master of Theatre (Directing) program. Their practice primarily focuses on the connection between writing and directing in their own work, and on collaborating with emerging writers in the creation, development and production processes of their works.

Their most recent work, Their Eyes Spoke Everything, focused on the interplay between love, anticipatory grief, and an individual’s control over their own death, and was presented in September 2025 as part of the Master of Theatre (Directing) Graduate Season. Freddie has also been involved with La Mama Theatre (Melbourne) for many years, with their debut performance, The Angel with Blue Eyes, premiering in 2023, and in 2025, they completed a two-week residency at La Mama’s HQ venue for their new work, On Saturday Night.
